Quinton Shop now open

Keen bargain hunters and supporters of Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice were eagerly waiting outside the new Hospice shop in Quinton for its grand opening.

Its doors opened to the public at 9am on Tuesday 25 August where staff and volunteers treated customers to a piece of homemade cake whilst browsing around the new shop.

The first sale of the day was made just after 9am by local man Roger Birch who bought a beautiful glass decanter.

Pam Stanley, the Hospice’s Retail Manager said: “I’m really pleased with the support we’ve received from the local community and I’m more than certain the new shop will be a huge success. We’re still appealing for people to donate good quality items for resale and ask if anyone would like to become a shop volunteer for them to speak to the shop manager.”
