Visiting is not restricted to a particular time but we do expect visitors to respect all our patients’ need for privacy and peace. There are certain times in the day which are busier than others because of routine activities.
Free car parking for patients and their visitors is at the front of the Hospice and there are some additional spaces at the rear of the building. We cannot accept responsibility for vehicles (and contents) in the car park.
Patients can get snacks and drinks from the vending machine and tea bar in the Butterfly Lounge in the Hospice. Also, there are several shops, a pub and café nearby.
Children
Children are welcome and there are areas where they can play. We do ask that they are supervised by an adult for their safety.
Hospice Garden
The garden at the back of the Hospice is for patients and their visitors to enjoy and has areas with seating as well as paths to walk.
Pets
Pets are welcome to visit providing they are kept under control.
Fire Alarms
We test the fire alarm every Wednesday around 10:00 am.
Smoking
The Hospice has a smoke room which is only for inpatients. There is a designated area in the Hospice garden where patients and visitors can smoke.
Smoking in the Hospice is prohibited by law.
