Mark Ramprakash was our special guest at a lunch at Piccolino in Brindleyplace, Birmingham on Friday 10 October 2008.
The event was everything we hoped it would be; a sell-out audience, a vibrant atmosphere, delicious food and a wonderful host, Nick Owen.
He not only interviewed Mark about his successful career at the crease and on the dancefloor but also about the level of care provided by the Hospice for his Father-in-Law.
Nick's sensitive questions brought out responses from Mark that revealed a hugely positive insight into hospice care.

A cricket bat signed by several international cricketers including Mark, Alec Stewart and the two Hollioake brothers, Ben and Adam realised an amazing £1100 thanks to the vigorous efforts of Warwickshire's Michael Powell, who proved to be a revelation as auctioneer for the day.
Thank you to everybody who supported the event. Your generosity resulted in the Hospice raising over £6000 which is fantastic.
