Grassroots fundraising making a huge difference

It might be grassroots fundraising but over the years our Annual Street Collection has brought in around £350,000 for the Hospice. The 2011 campaign alone raised a fantastic £9,748.02.

This is an incredible contribution and only made possible thanks to the dedication of volunteers who've stood on streets across our city whatever the weather.

It's one of the most traditional forms of fundraising and remains as vital as ever. So if you've been thinking about supporting a charity but can't quite make up your mind how to do it, why not join our Annual Street Collection?

You could give up a whole day or just a few hours - whatever time you can give will be greatly appreciated. It's also a great way to meet new people and you could bring a bit of wackiness to proceedings by putting on some fancy dress.

In 2012 the collection takes place on Friday, September 28, and Saturday, September 29.
