Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is one of the most tax-effective ways to give regularly to Birmingham St Mary's Hospice. Because your money is donated before tax, it costs you less to give more, and some employers may match your donation - why not ask your employer if they do.

Start Giving as you Earn

It's easy to start giving through your payroll

  • Ask your payroll office if your organisation has a payroll giving scheme in place. If it has, they should be able to give you a form to fill in, or you can download one here.
  • Fill in the form, adding in the charities you wish to support, and how much you'd like to give each payday, e.g. Birmingham St Mary's Hospice, £10.
  • If your organisation doesn't have a payroll giving scheme in place, why not suggest that they start one. It only takes about 10 minutes each payday for your employer to run a payroll giving scheme, and we can help promote the new scheme.

Employer Quality Mark Scheme

This scheme recognises and rewards organisations of all sizes for making Payroll Giving available to their staff. The Quality Mark comprises a certificate and logo, as well as Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. The Awards reward employers for fostering a culture of committed giving in the workplace by actively promoting Payroll Giving. For more information  click here.

How much will it cost me?
