The Companions are a fantastic group of Hospice friends who generously support a different area of our work every year. They also get to know us a bit better and find out more about how we provide services across the community.
Over the past year, the Companions have raised £15,000 towards the work of the Hospice. This has helped support the work of the medical team as they expand their services to patients, and teach their skills to trainee doctors. Please click here to see more details of the work the team has been doing.
This year, the Companions will be focussing on the inpatient team, who work closely with patients and their families. Many inpatients are discharged home with improved pain control and more personal independence through techniques learnt here. Over the coming year the team members are looking to develop their work in a number of ways. For more details, please click here.
There are four Companion levels – Hospice, Silver, Gold and Life. Each levels asks for a differing amount of support from as little as £10, and gives different benefits to the supporter.
