Help Your Hospice in 2010
With annual running costs now standing at £6.3 million, fundraising is crucial to Birmingham St Mary's Hospice. We get less than half of our funding from the NHS - the remainder comes from public goodwill, whether that be through snapping up a bargain at one of our nine shops, or getting involved in a sponsored event such as Birmingham Half Marathon or cycling from London to Paris, or even Land's End to John O'Groats. Or, if you fancy something a little more sedate, you could join our Open Gardens Scheme from July to September. You could also combine fundraising for the Hospice with your favourite sport at one of our Golf Days. Alternatively, the Make a Will Week is sure to offer the perfect opportunity to make sure your loved ones are taken care of while supporting this essential local service.
But if you'd like to be really adventurous in 2010, overcome your fear of heights with a skydive in aid of the Hospice - we're organising a parachute Jump Day on Sunday, September 12, at Brackley Airfield, 15 miles north of Oxford. Click here for more information.
These are just a few of the ways in which you can raise money for Birmingham St Mary's Hospice. If you have another idea about how you would like to help us, feel free to contact our fundraising team who will do their best to support and promote your event.
