Sharing the Care Conference

About the course:

To celebrate World Palliative Care Day, Birmingham St Mary's Hospice is hosting a highly participative conference to create stronger partnerships between local people and professionals in caring for people with life threatening illness.

Objectives for the day are that participants will have:

gained a greater understanding of the strengths of local community support systems
created stronger links between participants
identified the positive ways in which we work together
found new ways of communicating and problem solving
sown the seeds of a creative partnership across communities and professional staff
been introduced to an online project to facilitate difficult conversations: "Dying to Talk"
