
Following 4 launch events in Spring 2006, we are pleased to announce the newly configured Birmingham and Black Country (BBC) Palliative Care Education Consortium. The Consortium is now in a position, from July 2006, to provide a range of non accredited programmes addressing palliative care for all/End of life care.
The consortium is made up at present of the following Hospices:Compton Hospice Wolverhampton
Birmingham St. Mary’s Hospice Birmingham
St. Giles Hospice Lichfield
The consortium programme is funded via a commissioning contract and quality monitoring process with the NHS West Midlands Workforce Development Directorate (WDD) (about to be renamed as part of the restructuring process)Through the Consortium, Birmingham St Mary's Hospice is running a series of courses and an Annual Conference that will be free of charge to NHS staff within Birmingham and the Black Country.
