Patients at Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice are enjoying a better night’s sleep thanks to kind-hearted staff at a Midlands business.
Milords International Ltd has donated 45 pairs of pyjamas and nightdresses to the Selly Park-based independent hospice, which cares for people across Birmingham and Sandwell.
Hospice Facilities Administrator Cynthia Corbett initially approached the company in Leicester as part of a search for a suitable supplier of nightclothes.
And she was delighted when the firm responded with the generous offer. Cynthia said: “It was a real surprise to be offered this much-appreciated donation, which has saved us a significant amount of money. The nightclothes come in a range of pretty designs and are already being enjoyed by our patients.”
The Hospice’s head of fundraising and marketing, Caroline Taylor, thanked Milords for the donation.
“This unexpected gift was a lovely gesture, so we’d like to say a big thank you to Milords. As an independent hospice we rely heavily on goodwill from both the public and the business world. Gifts like this really do make a big difference to the service we provide to the people of Birmingham,” she said.
