Corporate golf teams are being invited to tee up for a charity tournament this September. Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice’s second Charity Golf Day this year will take place on the 15th at Little Aston Golf Club in Sutton Coldfield.
Both men’s and women’s teams are wanted for the event, whose proceeds will help fund vital palliative care for people with life-limiting illnesses across Birmingham and Sandwell.
A similar golf day in May raised £4,000 for the Hospice in Selly Park.
Anyone interested in taking part is invited to contact Corporate Fundraising Administrator Yvonne McPhillips on 0121 4721191.
Since its launch in 1979, Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice has cared for tens of thousands of people with life-limiting illnesses, such as cancer, motor neurone disease and MS.
Annual running costs stand at £6.3 million, with around £1 million being raised in the Hospice’s shops and £2.7 million via community fundraising events. The remainder comes from the NHS.
Birmingham St Mary's flagship summer fundraiser is on course to raise £50,000 for the Hospice.
