Women's Fashion Items Urgently Needed for Hospice Sale

June 4, 2010

Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice has launched an urgent appeal for nearly new and gently-used women’s quality clothing - to be put on sale at a fundraising fashion extravaganza later this month.

The Hospice’s Quality Ladies’ Clothes Sale takes place between 7pm and 10pm on Tuesday, June 29, at King Edward VI High School for Girls in Edgbaston Park Road, Edgbaston.

Money raised at the event will help the independent adult Hospice provide vital palliative care to people with life-limiting illnesses in Birmingham and Sandwell.

Corporate Fundraiser and sale organiser Yvonne McPhillips said she was looking for a variety of fashion items.

“We’ve already had some wonderful donations that I’m sure are going to be big hits on the night, but we could still do with a few more clothes and accessories. So if you’re in the process of updating your summer wardrobe and want to get rid some gently-used dresses or blouses I would love to hear from you,” she said.

The sale will feature day and evening dresses, suits, trousers, skirts, blouses, jewellery, hats, scarves, bags, shoes and accessories.

Entry is £3 and includes a glass of wine. To donate items or for more information contact Yvonne on 0121 4721191 or visit www.bsmh.org.uk/fundraising
