People in south Birmingham who are caring for a relative with a terminal illness are invited to attend a special four-session carers’ support course organised by Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice.
The course, which is free and takes place each Tuesday during the first four weeks in June, is open to anyone in south of the City who is receiving palliative care through their GP for illnesses such as cancer, motor neurone disease or heart failure. It will take place at Greenridge Surgery in Billesley.
Participants will be given information and advice on providing practical and emotional support to loved ones. There will also be a chance to meet fellow carers and learn about how carers can look after their own health.
Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice is the only independent adult hospice caring for people in Birmingham and Sandwell.
For further information about the course contact Dynah Lane or Wendy Cox at Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice on 0121 4721191.
